In the brief we were told to design a remote controller of our choice, based on the product design of the brand we were given. The brand I was given was Leica.
Based on my research into the Leica brand, especially their Geo equipment, they focus on producing simple and colourful products. This approach likely helps minimise the risk of damage or data loss. I decided to adopt their colour scheme and prominent buttons for my design.

These were my final sketches based off my research. I chose to design a small compact remote with less buttons than a normal remote.
These buttons function as volume up and down using the roller ball, play and pause, bluetooth, and on and off
The function of the buttons are similar to what you find on your regular music streaming apps such as Spotify. This handheld device allows for a more social atmosphere during events. This device can even be used during study sessions with music.

I attempted using different methods during this process in the end I found that making two pieces and glueing them together was quicker and held up the best.
This small device won't let you get distracted when changing your music.
